One Fair Wage Testimony Prep Party

Tipped workers in Massachusetts make a minimum wage of only $5.55 an hour compared to the state standard minimum wage of $13.50 an hour. This unequal wage system makes workplaces less equitable and less safe. But we have a chance to end this injustice!

Currently there is a bill in the statehouse to eliminate tipped subminimum wage. The bill to create One Fair Wage will have a hearing on October 19th and lawmakers need to hear from the Jewish community that we stand united for economic justice. Join us on zoom for a workshop on how to prepare testimony for the bill's hearing so that your voice is heard. We will go over what makes testimony powerful and write, edit, and practice our testimony together. Hearing testimony is a strong way our community can make a difference in this fight!
